Sixty days and nights
And fifteen thousand miles.
Alive and well. Home.

More soon.

"And this I believe: that the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual. This is what I am and what I am about. I can understand why a system built on a pattern must try to destroy the free mind, for that it one thing which can by inspection destroy such a system. Surely I can understand this, and I hate it and I will fight against it to preserve the one thing that separates us from the uncreative beasts. If the glory can be killed, we are lost." — John Steinbeck, East of Eden

  1. Jay!!!! It took me this long to tune in, and you're already back!! Where did the weeks and months go?? Feels like you just hosted your bon voyage party last weekend. Easy for me to say... meanwhile you mapped the ultimate North American route. Definitely inspiring. I'm coming by to take notes, so I can plan a trip of my own..! Welcome home :)

    1. Hey Omar! Yeah, I can't believe it was just two months; the trip felt more like a year—or a lifetime. Definitely stop on by! I look forward to catching up.

  2. So, how is home? I miss your posts. And you.

    1. Hey friend. Home is wonderful. And thank you for reminding me that I was due for a conclusionary post. http://www.jayaustin.info/2013/07/to-dc-and-beyond-days-59-60-epilogue.html
